  • My parents are senior citizens and aren't very Internet savvy, so I'm writing this post for them, as they've asked that I do so. Dr. Noakes (both husband and wife) have been amazing with my parents' animals, Smokey and Grumpy. In December 2014, Smokey was diagnosed with liver disease. Both doctors have been wonderful in his treatment, advising my parents on next steps, constantly trying different medications, hoping that the next would provide better results or stabilization in Smokey's liver blood panels. They referred him to a specialist and followed-up with his care pretty regularly. The consoling and advice offered was greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, nearly a year and a half after Smokey became sick, his condition began to quickly deteriorate this week. My parents were faced with the very hard decision, which Dr. Noakes was considerate of and provided great comfort of during this time. Smokey was not going to recover, so the difficult choice of putting Smokey to rest was made. A few days later, a sympathy card and a mold of Smokey's footprint was sent to my parents from Brooklyn Animal Hospital. This was above and beyond any expectations any of us had. I'm so glad I was able to find Brooklyn Animal Hospital a few years ago and my parents decided to keep them as their veterinary practice of choice. The doctors and staff there are so kind and caring, and that radiates more than they probably even realize. On top of the love, care, and compassion that they show to pets of all sizes, they're totally affordable (especially seeing that my parents are on a fixed income as retirees.) So from the bottom of my heart, I thank you Dr. Noakes & Dr. Noakes, and staff.
