I finally made it to Bertha's Café two weeks ago, and now can't stop going back. With a name like that, you might expect some heavy, down home cooking and lots of fried goodness. Do a 180. Really delectable, foodie-esque sandwiches on that addicting MJ bread. I love that their chicken & turkey breasts are house-roasted, that all sauces including the delicious pesto made by hand and in-house, and that the incredible selection of sweet samplings and baked goods are all made from scratch. I've rocked the havarti & asparagus with chicken twice this week; last week it was chicken pesto with bell peppers one-two-three times. Thank goodness they're near my office. Also nibbled on the curry chicken salad, which was my least happiness-inducing pick. Try a slice of butter cake, and then thank me after you dry your happy tears of sugar-joy.
