| - Ya'll are as high as our super sweet but (holyeffingshit) slow server with your 5 star reviews. Come on already. I've been twice, both experiences were about 1:30-2p in the afternoon, aka the end of most restaurants lunch rush. The first time, the waiter spilled Sprite on my husband and apologized but never came back to help with it because they were so busy. BUT THAT FILET BURRITO THOUGH. Took damn near an hour but it was so freeeeaking delish. So, I went again, with the same naïveté as most of you, hoping it was an off day. W R O N G. Today we waited 10 minutes for water, 15 minutes for chips and 50 minutes for food. 1.5 hrs in total for a (holyeffingshit) $17 delicious chicken burrito plate, some tacos and a horchata.
Being in the industry, I was watching the people around me like a hawk-- I cannot help it. Restaurant management runs through my blood and is 99.8% of the time a curse because I notice every flipping detail and rarely enjoy myself when out to eat. Today, I noticed two servers in a packed restaurant. Maybe 3-4 kitchen staff. No bartender although a lot of booze was being ordered. I watched 3 customers walk out after not being greeted at their table and 9 (yes, nine) take off after waiting at the door for a table for way too long when there were clean tables inches from them. People were making their frustrations known and some were honestly pretty pissed. I am really confused why they don't switch to counter service, it make SO much more sense for their concept.
No mediocre free salsa bar and damn tasty but super overpriced food is worth this kind of service.
