  • Delano at Mandalay Bay is the newer expansion to Mandalay Bay. New is always better!! On my latest trip to Vegas, my friend and I stayed in a 2 bedroom suite that had a door that separated us from the living room. It had a 1.5 bath, which would be beneficial if we needed more space to get ready. Their main bathroom was actually big enough for us to do our hair and make-up together while watching tv on the small screen in the rest room. During the day time my friend was napping in the bedroom while I was watching TV in the living room. The AC was a bit cold for me, so I called room service to bring by additional blankets for me to cuddle up in the living room. They were really nice and they came up in a timely manner. My only complaint with their blankets, both the one in the bedroom and the supplemental ones, is that it contained a tremendous amount of static electricity. They need some drying sheets while drying their bedding because it made my hair staticy and that is HORRIBLE when I am trying to look fabulous for my outings. And for a suite, anywhere else, I would expect my own refrigerator and microwave. The only refrigerator in this room was their mini bar that was armed with a warning about potential charges if you remove their items to chill your person items... even if you put the original item back unused. Another thing I did not appreciate was how guests of the hotel need to pay for parking. I get that Vegas is enforcing strict parking rules, but when you stay at the hotel and pay all of the resort fees as it is, an extra parking fee per night is just beyond a rip off. In the future, I think I would rather stay at a hotel that is equally nice, maybe even more expensive per night, but without the hidden fees stacked. Overall I had a great trip and I really enjoyed the time I spent at Delano. I just feel like there is much room for improvement.
