I needed an inspection and my go-to place takes too much time involving me having to drop it off and then find a ride to go pick it back up later in the afternoon and I just didn't have time for all that this time so I went to the quickie inspection place hoping for the best. My car is new and in fine shape so this should be an in and out situation with zero issues. I pull in and ask how quickly they can get me in and out, they say 20 minutes or less so I take the chance.
The mechanics began manipulating my vehicle before I'd even reached the waiting area. I asked Sanjay if I needed to sign anything or fill out anything and he said no, which felt wildly old school and shady to me. His answer made my confidence waiver and I instantly began to regret my decision, so I sat down and pulled up Yelp! and read their reviews, hunting for the most current first. One review said they had sliced his windshield wipers and wouldn't pass his inspection until he purchased new wipers. This sounded like something that could happen to me today, so I immediately stood up, walked over to the window and watched every move until my inspection was completed. I could tell that the mechanics didn't really like this, but each time they caught my eye I simply smiled and continued to watch them like a hawk. When the inspection was completed they pulled my car around and that was that. Boom Bam! - I got my inspection accomplished with no random issues that I was suspect of so I can continue on with my day :-)
Would I recommend SpeeDee to anyone? No, considering that I left with a feeling of relief that they didn't try to rip me off... Honestly, I think I might have had an issue had I not been watching them like a hawk and that's not the level of service that I typically try to support with my dollars, hence why my go-to place is not SpeeDee Oil Change.
