  • I recently relocated to Arizona. I got in touch with Darla based on the Yelp reviews of her. She has represented Gilbert with such kindness and love. I wanted to get my hair cut and colored to start my career search and made an appointment. After looking at my budget.... I had to reschedule. She was very understanding and said to call her when I was ready. She then reached out to me a couple of weeks later and asked how my search was going? I updated her and said as soon as things loosened up financially I'd be seeing her. She graciously offered a few highlights and trim as a gesture of goodness to get me on my way. Her kindness and encouragement meant so much to me in a town I know very few people in. I thanked her and said no. But told her how much it meant to me. I landed my (hopefully) dream job and got to see Darla last night! I had a 6 appointment. When I met her I walked in and she immediately gave me a warm hug and kind welcome! We sat for two hours while my hair developed and chatted like we'd known each other for years! I knew she was tired and my eyes could not lie.... I kinda looked like a drowned rat lol! We both were tired she was closing her evening out after 10 hours of working, counseling, inspiring the whole day. Because you see a hairdresser isn't just a hairdresser. Those hours of sitting in a chair with someone like Darla isn't just a passing engagement. Darla wants to know the stories she truly loves her clients and she wants to make us feel proud and beautiful! Mostly she is an instrument of the good in humans. She shared some of her struggles (of which currently) in keeping her head above water... Her feet were sore and one in particular with plantar fasciitis. Owe!! I've had that too! Most painful! Like standing on a tack all day! But Darla kept her sweet encouraging disposition through it all! Thank you for making time for me Darla! You did a super job of bringing the blonde that I needed and I have no damage! I love it! And.... I am so grateful I found you not only for my hair but because pathetic world needs more people like you! So if you read this through and you need a skillful hairdresser who is the bees knees go see Darla! I promise you won't regret it! Xo fellow Yelpers! As a side note the salon is beautiful! Clean fresh colors and no clutter! Very warm and inviting! Great job on it Tiffany! You're beautiful too!
