I've been visiting Quaff since, like, the day it opened. I immediately liked the ambiance, the little details in the wooden decor and off-white effects. The Verve Remixed albums playing softly in the background are a nice touch.
Quaff's espresso-based coffees are always smooth, though a bit lacking in creaminess. The stew is flavourless but hearty and the sandwiches are nothing to rave about, especially since they're overpriced. They *do* make a swell spanokopita which I regularly have when I'm hungry...mostly because I wouldn't order anything else to eat here. And dessert doesn't count -- their cakes are a treat I try not to indulge in too often. This is the kind of place you can go to and zone out on your computer or book with a coffee. I've tried hanging with friends here but we feel guilty chatting when most people aren't there to socialize. I continue to go here for reliable coffees and privacy.
