  • It's days like today I am thankful for the Yelp platform to be able to rat-out who I will call "PP" for short (Plasma Police). She has fake blond hair and enjoys schooling the public on the waiting process which as you can see by previous reviews is lame. PP tells me the shpeal and I cut her off for efficiency sake; I heard her tell the people before me. Keep in mind that a place such as this has it's share of derilicts, homeless and downtight smelly people that haven't bathed in days or weeks. If you can stomach this than you should be ok doing a good deed and getting paid in the process So Plasma Police promptly tells me that I cannot donate due to the fact that one number on my social security card is pretty light kind of hard to read. Mind you this is an original social security card showing signs of wear. Duh. I blow my stack. I have paper work as proof of address and legitimate housing. She gives me no other alternatives other than she cannot accept my social security card. Not that they can't check a database or show her another form that shows my social such as a W-2. Not one to be discouraged by Plasma Police powertrippers I ask to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor tells me I can show her my W-2. I thank her for giving me options! I try to live by the motto that there are only solutions not problems. Sorry PP if I came off aggressive; I loathe stupidity. So I wait and see a nurse and go through the screening process. Almost two hours later and PP had come back from her lunch break. Super excited that she had done her policing duties she asks me to follow her in to an exam room and let me know that because a sister office had told me that I needed to show documentation from a doctor that shows that I am not on diabetes medication, therefore I cannot donate until I do. And why did this take almost two hours to tell me? So please, all pre-diabetics or diabetics that have controlled blood sugar; these grifols deadbeats would rather take people that live on the streets than people who are under doctors care. So that is why this industry is soooooo shady. PP has no problem telling her homeless homies they can donate. I'm pretty sure she gloating after I "yelled" at her almost an hour and a half previously. Do yourself a huge favor. Go to CSL or Octopharma. They pay more and do not waste patients time AND they are much more efficient in their operating procedures. At octopharma they won't waste your time and you'll be in and out in a jiffy.
