  • I visited for the first time to see Gordon Lightfoot in December 2016. Thought I'd done a review, but I guess I forgot! He was unbelievable. It's hard to believe that he's in his 70's! He played for over 2 hours, with an intermission. All the hits, and there's a lot. Plus others. Musicians (not performers, MUSICIANS) have always said that Massey Hall is a favourite place to perform. Now I know why. The sound is incredible. I've never heard anything like it. It's like hearing music on the best stereo on earth. Period. I think the wood roof has a lot to do with it. The view was great, but I was 14 rows back so I expected that! The seating is old, but comfortable. There's no bathroom on the main floor, which is a drag. But, they're undertaking major renovations, to the seating, and other things, and adding a washroom, hopefully soon!
