| - It's been open less than a month, been here three times now, and continue to see improvement in the beer. They were having a few issues with appropriate carbonation levels for the beer (I like cask-conditioned beers but these aren't CC'ed) but as the time goes on, the delivery improves.
The guys who run the place are pretty cool, one's the master brewer and the other two are the business guys.
This week they set up a relationship with The Hanger, a restaurant/pub a few doors down, and patrons can order a variety of appetizers from their menu and will get it delivered here. Importantly, you can bring your own food and eat it here, so good pizzas from Nello's, Oregano's, or food from other venues are all welcome here.
The beers are fairly decent, they have tastes for all types. If someone's not a beer aficionado, the Pale Rider is fairly mild. For folks craving more, the 360 amber and To The Wall IPA are pretty good beers.
They have a number of TVs with no sound, music that's a little eclectic (but only a teensy bit: White Stripes, Eels, Beck, etc.), free popcorn with different flavored salts, clean bathrooms (2 of them, both identical, could easily go omnisex if they wanted), a group table, made of reclaimed wood from an old church, that seats 16.
Plenty of room at the bar, a few comfy chairs, and $5 pints (of their own beers) 4-7pm M-F. There's a few guest taps as well. Free wifi, growlers, no crowlers yet, and a bit of an industrial vibe.
The location is in a strip mall at the southwest end of the Scottsdale airport, with several food places adjacent.
Like I said at the top, I've been here 3 times in the past week, and things continue to look good.
Here it is a few weeks later: the beer continues to be quite good, the food from the Hanger restaurant a few doors away is a easy delivery, and you pay the MRB and they reconcile it themselves. That's good!! The tips go to MRB!!!
