NOT Priced for Life! I signed up with Centurylink instead of Cox as they have a vacation mode for when we're gone for the Summer. I asked if the price for life was applicable even if I use vacation mode. I was informed it was for up to 6 months. When I went to set the vacation mode today I was told the price would be subject to change upon my return. I cancelled my service. I contacted them via live chat as a new customer and asked the same questions I did 8 months ago when I signed up. Again I was told that vacation mode would not change my price upon my return. When I explained I was told the opposite minutes earlier on the phone, they again stated it was guaranteed. After checking with their supervisor, they told me that the modem rental price was the only thing subject to change. After arguing with them again, they finally agreed that I was correct and that my rate would be subject to change. I cut and pasted the conversation and submitted a complaint to the AZ attorney general. I am out $120 in extra internet rates because I thought I was getting a "price for life" vs Cox internet's cheaper price. Figured it would pay off eventually...but I was wrong. Century link not "lost a customer for life".
