| - This has become my "go to" spot in Vegas. I usually stay at Aria or Vdara, which makes this restaurant really convenient, and really delicious. I've tried a lot of their menu items, and whats below is only what I can remember. They're also really easy to get a table last minute, which is great when you suck at planning, but still want a good meal.
The Excellent:
The wait staff is really friendly and accomodating. I always ask for ice in my water, which they don't do by default, but none the less they make sure to keep my glass full of ice. One of their staff members even turned me onto a place names San Sebastian in spain, and I visited there based purely on his recommendation, and I've been back twice since! Can't think him enough for that. Unfortunately I only saw him once, and when I asked for him on a return visit, they said he didn't work there any more.
No Dress code - I hate dress codes.
Beef Tartar - Oh man this is good stuff. Flavored well, and really delicious. They serve it with potato chips which is perfect.
Bone Marrow - oh man. I've had very few things in life that were this delicious.
Onion Soup - Get this. Seriously. You don't have a choice. I often get this as my entree, with the added beef, truffles, and egg on top.
Foie Gras Parfait - delicious stuff. Really rich though, so a little is enough.
Lamb Shanks - Oh man these unbelievably good. Perfectly cooked.
Crab Legs - They're good, and normally they'd be in the "good" column, but they peel the legs back for you, so they're super easy to eat, which puts them in the excellent column in my book.
Oysters - Delicious and fresh every time.
Scallops - Unbelievably tender, and flavorful. Amazing.
Beet Salad - Nice and refreshing salad, since everything else here is pretty heavy and bold.
The orange friend chicken - Delicious, and the butter sauce they serve with it is amazing.
The good:
The Mac and cheese - I usually order it, and I'm usually a little bit disapointed because EVERYTHING else is so good.. but this mac and cheese, while still good, is not as excellent as it could be. It's a little dry, and needs more cheese sauce. Surprisingly, it might be better reheated the next day.
Gnocchi - It was good, but not great. Kind of "rubbery", and needed more sauce.
Truffle Fries - They're really good, but I don't really get much "truffle" flavor from them.
Creme Brulet - Good, but not anything I haven't had anywhere else.
Snails - I found a picture of these on my phone, but I don't remember them, so they must not have been too spectacular, but I don't remember them being bad either.
The Bad:
The only bad thing I'd have to say about them is that I tried to get a last minute reservation for 20, and they were only able to accomodate us with a limited menu. hard to blame them, but I hate limited menus... Maybe it's not fair to put this in the "bad" column, but I have to have something :)
