  • Let me start by saying I have been looking forward to going to this restaurant for many years. I've seen it on the corner and always wanted to go in as it looks very nice from the outside . We entered the restaurant and almost immediately I thought this might be a mistake, we weren't greeted nicely and we were placed at a less, a much less than optimum table even though they were perhaps only 7 other the people in the restaurant besides us. My husband had the Arizona fried rice and it was excellent, my meal a curry with chicken that I forgot the name of , could have been tasty but was cold. The service was almost rude! We ordered a bottle of the house wine as advertise on the table top placard; oh they didn't have any in stock the only thing they had was something for 6 dollars more which I could have gotten in Frys for 2.98. Hint to the owners don't display a card card on the table advertising wine you don't have. I've had better service in a diner in quesionsble parts of New York City and than I did here. Just the total feeling that they didn't care if you're there or not, maybe they're having a bad day but...... I know what I've mentioned doesn't match with just one star but before we left I used the ladies room. It was the most shockingly dirty ladies room I think I've ever been in in my long life. The old dirty pump soap bottle on the sink, no toilet tissue, the walls dirty not with graffiti or anything silly, just dirt. When I saw that bathroom I wondered about the cleanliness of the entire place kitchen included. How was that food actually prepared? We lift our usual 20% tip... I know but I always leave a tip.. I wanted to go lower but my husband insisted that we leave the usual Went home and because of the disgust the dirty bathroom put in me; threw out the leftovers. Sadly when I went home I read old reviews on Yelp and I noticed that the bathroom issue was addressed before. I didn't do my due diligence and read the reviews before we went there, I just went there thinking they have been open forever.. they must be good. Maybe they were,and by the taste of the food they could be again..but they definitely need to get their act together. AND clean, paint and stock your bathroom! And note to self: check the reviews on Yelp before you go out to eat.
