Disappointing. Went in for lunch looking for a tasty bit of fish after too many group meals during during the conference this week. After being seated we were given the dinner menu. I asked for the lunch menu which I seen online but was told the lunch menu is not available this week. With the HIMMS conference in the Venetian this week, I guess they thought why not take advantage of all the expense account clients. I probably should have just left at that point.
My wife had the Caesar salad which was much smaller and not nearly as tasty as the one in the Grand Luxe Cafe. I had the charred tuna steak which turned out to be one of the weirdest fish dishes I have ever been served. It was blackened with something that tasted like instant coffee and served on what was advertised as a red wine reduction but was a really dark sauce that might have been ok for short ribs, but way inappropriate for tuna. The blackening and sauce overpowered any taste of the tuna.
Otherwise service was fair for a busy convention lunch time. Ten buck for bottle of Pellegrino and sixty two buck for a middling Pinot Grigio seemed par for the experience.
