I get there just before closing on a Sunday afternoon. Doug greets me and pulls up my reservation. I mention that I don't know if I have insurance coverage on my credit card and ask if I can borrow the phone to call about my card benefits. He reaches into his pocket without skipping a beat and hands me his personal mobile!
I'm getting impatient with the customer service rep at my credit card company and Doug tells me not to worry; there's no hurry and he'll help another customer while I wait for my card benefits info.
I have a seat when I finish on his phone. Another woman walks in a says her car broke down and she needs a car and apologizes because Enterprise is already closing. Doug says "no problem" and he means it. He hooks that lady up with another employee and takes me to get my car.
I used the "you choose" option because it's exciting to get a surprise. Doug sizes me up, asks me where I'm heading and chooses the perfect car for me and my trip. He read me so well he ended up giving me the next step up from the car I own at home. It was perfect and an upgrade from what I ordered online.
He looks over the car for "bigger than a dollar" scratches --gotta love Enterprise and their no fuss policies-- and hands me the keys. A couple initials on the tablet and I'm on my way.
And this is why I only use Enterprise. Employees like Doug; easy, reliable service.
