| - First off, DO NOT GET YOUR WINDSHIELD KNICKS AND CRACKS FIXED HERE!!
Intro: Looking for a good car wash by our house, we brought my wife's car in for a wash, because it was filthy and someone had thrown yogurt or something that dried up on the hood looking like a gross waxy mess. My wife opted for their premium (or is it called ultra?) car wash which was the best they offer before going into the detailing category. It was about $50. I had also came on a different day to get their basic wash on my car.
Windshield: They noticed 2 knicks in her windshield (one was a pretty obvious one while the other was hardly noticable) and offered to fix it for free. Great we thought...too bad what they acrually do is call your insurance and make a comprehensive claim on your behalf. Now this really wouldnt ve an issue, but I could have done a better job fixing the cracks with some elmer's glue. I too a picture of the finished repair so you can see how great their work is. If i recall correctly they quoted our insurance company about 100-120 for the repairs. We could have gone to Safelite and had it done properly for 20 bucks! Sure, a comprehensive claim doesnt raise your rates, but some companies do take them into consideration when shopping for new insurance. We noticed that it didnt look repaired and were told their glue just needs to dry which takes some time...please note this picture was taken weeks after, and the crack looks just like it did when we brought it in except for a little glue mark around it from the inferior product they use or don't use properly.
Car wash: We waited over an hour to get the wash. When we came in there were only 2 cars in front of us. I figured this must be because my wife bought the expensive wash and they were being thorough. Well the yogurt crap was still on the hood. We pointed out that it wasn't cleaned off and the cleaning lady proceeded to tell us that it won't come off as she showed us by running her nail through it AND GUESS WHAT as she did that it came right off. She then realized cleaning it off will take too long and they were pretty backed up at this point so she changed her excuse from "it wont come off" to "well we dont want to scratch the car taking it off." REALLY? She didnt seem to have a problem running her NAIL through it before. As for the rest of the car, there were still dirty areas near the bottom of the doors that they missed, but at this point we had been there for almost an hour and a half and didnt have the patience to complain and wait any longer. Overall, it was pretty clean, but definitely not the level of clean expected for the price we paid. Also, whatever fragrance they said they're supposed to add to the car with this wash was not noticable.
I had also run my car through on a different occasion for their basic wash which was about $20-$25 with tip. It was basically the same level of clean as my wife's car (they still missed some spots around the bottom of the grill and near the doors). Overall, it was a good wash except for the fact that there weren't any cars ahead of me and it still took over half an hour (about 40 min). They also tried very hard to convince me to fix the knicks in my windshield which i had to refuse at least 10 times before they stopped trying to sell me their pitch.
Overall/Conclusion: My wife had the premium wash which was about the same level of clean as the basic on my car. They did a very poor job repairing the cracks in my wife's windshield. Wait time was ridiculous.
I have to mention that the staff was very polite and their basic wash is decent if you have 30-45 min to kill while waiting for it to be done. These were the only reasons I gave this place 2 stars.
Edit: After thinking about it they dont deserve 2 stars because not only was it a poor repair, but they were also misleading saying they will do it for free, and not mentioning up-front that they are going to actually charge your insurance to do it.
