| - Leased my first vehicle, a Subaru Legacy from ganley Subaru.
I was expecting the bare minimum service, credit hassles, price swapping and a toned down explanation of "well yeah that's the price for the base model vehicle for the advertised price of 269mo and 2199 down, what you're actually looking at is twice the price". I was expecting hidden fees, and sales nonsense and brought extra cash expecting to deal with presumed fees.
I called ahead of time, which is always important. I learned from previous mistakes of just barging into a dealership and trying to make demands.
I dealt with Keith Rivers, and he was very accommodating to my requests and cooperative. The term "play ball" comes to mind. Being a salesperson myself, I was sold appropriately and was pleasantly surprised for the following reason: I got MORE than I paid for, and the price was exactly what was advertised.
I'm relatively young, 32, and I highly appreciate a smooth, no nonsense business transaction. After several attempts to buy a new car from other dealers, this was the first one in a long time that didn't beat me up at every angle.
Bob was very clear with his extended coverages presentation, and found that I could SAVE money by changing from a 12k mile a year lease to a 10k. After the purchase, another gentleman took the time to show me how the features work, and pointed out the additional items they threw in for me.
Regardless if it turns out to be a good car over time, the experience was everything I hoped it to be. The price was right, and I got more than I expected. The interaction was smooth, pleasant, and hassle free.
And I got free coffee.
And a full tank of gas.
I read previous reviews, and from my perspective, it seems that they have taken measures to improve guest relations.
