I went to this branch to open an HSA and felt happy to give my business to a locally-owned spot. Ugh.
I forgot I had freezes on my credit due to some fraudulent activity recently. There was no cell service in the building, so I had to go outside to get on my phone and remove the freeze. It was nearly 110 in the Valley today, so this wasn't the highlight of my day.
As soon as I sat back down inside, the banker informed me that the freeze was still there. I asked if we could wait a few moments for the system to update, but she simply read the screen back to me for the second time and basically sent me on my way. There was no one behind me, and it would have been nice of her to wait a bit and try again instead of telling me to come back another time.
This was, at best, a mediocre experience with customer service and left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
