Man today was a full day one restaurant review and now my second garden review. We went on an adventure to hit up multiple garden sales for plants (actually just succulents).
We found that the sale of plants at Edwards Gardens offered a greater variety of plants not just succulents, but also tomatoes, herbs, flowers, trees, and for today an African Violets sale. The value and of the succulents was really good. One of the larger pots that was flowering was only $12.99 (WOW). The are also some exotic and rare plants
Edwards Gardens is also attached to a bike path in Toronto and offers ample parking. The garden is also not as large as High Park but offers you the ability to walk and explore the whole garden and appreciate not only the beauty of the garden and flowers but also the nature and setting of the location. Because of this the Garden is often littered with photographers and can be ideal for wedding photos, which has been my experience while witnessing the teams of wedding photographers directing and following wedding parties.
I will say though if you're having any difficulty walking that perhaps Allen Garden would be more accommodating, but if you got two good feet and like to walk in nature which appreciating your flowers and gardens than this is the place for you. Also like Allen Gardens there are little signage with Latin names of all the flowers.
