  • Jewel is an odd nightclub that could have used more time and fine tuning during its transition - it comes as a club that is unfriendly towards most of its patrons. Where to begin? Let's start with the bar. I was surprised to have only seen one in the back that was at least accessible to the general patron goer which makes things fairly crowded super quick. Expect to squeeze past this bar crowd/the crowd trying to dance behind the tables multiple times. Drinks otherwise were priced fairly normally (for Angello, it was around $21 for a Red Bull/Vodka) and the bartenders were friendly. Expect to pay for water and most bartenders won't serve you ice. This cramped feeling goes to the dance floor which to my understanding is mostly only accessible to those with a table. Perhaps it is timing but then that means only very early club entrants will have any access to the dance floor (if that is even the case) or those that can bribe their way in. The dance floor itself is super small (compared oddly to LAX without the big balcony/stair area). There's a stairway but it was blocked off for only VIP I'm assuming. The nicest part probably is the stage/DJ which are fairly colorful and the bass is super loud. If you can make it to the dance floor, the DJ also isn't too far off and you can definitely tell where the budget went to. Jewel comes out to be really cramped and unfriendly to club patron-goers. Perhaps if you buy a VIP table, you'll find a much more fun time - otherwise, even if your favorite DJ is there or you're just trying to dance and have a good time, your nightclub is in another castle. :(
