During the height of the ice storm in Toronto we stumbled open The Abbott pub and quickly went in, eager for a reprieve from the cold. Everything about The Abbott is Classic English, from the dark and warm decor to the Guinness for breakfast that most of the patrons seem to enjoy. The food is amazing, and there are lots of interesting twists on classics, such as eggs Benedict with pulled pork and eggs served in a skillet, which make them taste sublime. I opted for a Caesar rather than a Guinness, and I was incredibly happy with my choice. The services was good, especially considering they were quite busy, being one of the few places open during the blackout. I will most definitely be back.
