| - I decided to go here with a friend after hearing rave reviews from everyone I know who has visited. We went here on a Wednesday night, so it wasn't very crowded, as I have heard it can get on the weekends. We sat outside, and immediately were greeted by our waitress and she took the time to thoroughly explain the menu (and that the rolls are entree sized) after we told her we were first time visitors. We got the edamame and crab rangoon dip as appetizers, and they were amazing! They were brought out relatively quick, and did not disappoint.
As far as entrees, we got mark's Roll, the volcanic rolls, and a few others. They were rather large as the waitress has told us (I even ended up taking some home... and I NEVER have leftover sushi lol). They tasted really good, but the volcanic and mark's roll were my favorites out of what we had.
All in all, it was an excellent experience!! Another thing that contributed to my rating was the attitude of the staff. They were all very helpful, and available (which is a big deal with me). Even the manager Kevin came over, and it wasnt the normal "how was your meal?" And then off to the next table. He actually took the time to ask us about details of our experience, made some recommendations for our next visit, thanked us for trying it for the first time, asked about our service, and really seemed to care about every aspect of our dining experience. It really takes a lot to impress me with service, and this really stuck out to me. So i am glad that I tried it, and will definitely recommend to anyone visitng Charlotte!!
