  • I had the displeasure of working with the most incompetent manager I have ever met at this store, Terry. I arrived in this store in the mid afternoon/evening 4:45ish. When I asked for the manager, a gentlemen came out from the Geek Squad stating that he was the highest manager there at the time and that there were no floor managers around. I kindly explained my issue that had been in limbo for approx a year. Best buy admitted I was owed 2- 40 dollar for a cell phone credit that their store sold me the previous black Friday. The man from geek squad was obviously unable to help; which was fine. I left my name and number and asked; please have a manager call me as this is affecting my ability to shop at this store because I refuse to shop there until the dispute is resolved. No call ever came. I returned to the store a week later and met this Gem of a Manager Terry. Terry confirmed that he received the message from his associate and that he felt it didn't warrant a callback. As infuriating as this was; I remained as composed as I could be and began to question how a manager can be so unconcerned with an open, unresolved issue. His incompetence astounded me over and over with every response. I explain that it is the holiday season and I am prepared to shop for the family and with BestBuy off the table, it makes shopping inconvenient. He concedes that they owe the money and would take it off of a large purchase if I would commit to that. I agree, but when I select a $550+ camera and EQ. He retracts and states, oh well I cant take it off of that. I left this store and took my purchase to Costco (which is in the same mall for anyone reading this, just head north one block) for the $750 in camera and accessories. FYI- I couldn't have been happier with my purchase at Costco. I left this BestBuy and will never return. Also FYI a week or so later, I explained my experience to another BestBuy and encountered a Manager who knows how to represent his organization well. He took ownership of the issue, researched and got all the facts straight and was able to accommodate me without needing to just hand out a refund. Just gave me his word he would make it right and I came back to HIS store a couple weeks later and did some Christmas shopping where he honored his word and made sure I got what was owed to me. Nothing more. Its unfortunate for Best Buy to have Terry on their staff as I spent over 4k on my wife and 3 kids this year. By the time this issue was resolved, they missed out on quite alot of my holiday purchases. If you must shop at Best Buy, go to the one on Lake Mead and Rainbow in the Best of The west shopping center, the staff there is better. Otherwise avoid BestBuy all together.
