Recently opened nail bar in Village By the Grange. I stopped in last week because they had just opened and had 50% off all services. I was lucky that there happened to be a lull when I strolled by at 3pm on Saturday and they could take me without an appointment-apparently half the neighbourhood had descended on them to take advantage of the special offer.
I decided on a shellac manicure-full price $35. I think I might have ended up with the owner. He definitely had divided attention. The boys who were on reception didn't seem to have a clue what they were doing and he was mainly talking to them and jumping up occasionally to sort things out. He didn't talk to me too much except to encourage me to come again. And he did thank me for trying them. My nails looked good when I left but are showing some wear and tear now after a week, when I'd hope to get 2 good weeks out of shellac. I like it that he gave me the buffer and file he'd used to take home!
Prices aren't overly cheap at full price but not super expensive. For example: manicure is $16, pedicure $26, 60 min massage is $70 and full leg waxing $45. There will apparently be 20% off for a while until they get established.
Overall it was fine. I'm going to try again and see if the organisation and attention improve once the crazy first week is over. My feet are like little hooves at the moment so it's probably worth the investment.
