One of my iPhones that I use when I travel internationally took an extended dive into water on this past trip.
Due to the cost (299+) and the fact that my data would be lost since I would likely receive a replacement phone, I was hoping to avoid having to send my phone back to Apple. Also the amount of time to receive a replacement unit was quoted as weeks instead of days.
I happened to stumble across Recharged on my way to Safeway one day and inquired about their services.
Was told they offered water repair services that would take a few days and a deposit to cover the inspection, cleaning and testing services. If the phone required more extensive repairs or replacement parts then the cost would be higher if I chose to go that route.
So I promptly came back the next day (Thurs) to drop off my phone and was even more surprised that by the following morning I received a call that my phone had been fixed and was ready for pick up!
Picked up my phone and tested it on WiFi (no SIM card to try) and everything seems to be operating perfectly.
I will certainly consider Recharged Electronics for any future phone repairs that I may need (fortunately this is the only damage I have ever had to a cell or smartphone as I take excellent care of mine).
