  • Disappointing in every way. From the moment we walked in my 11 year old commented "seems like the people working here don't want to be here." It was 7:30 and they close at 9 so it's not like we were sending them into overtime. A big huge spider crawled out of the dirty creamer bowl on the table. The fish and chips were bland although they had good texture- their cook does have skill but I felt like he didn't have real food to work with. The syrup was in a honey jar which was confusing. My boyfriend got liver and onions - which again had some promise but his mashed potatoes were cold in the middle and the vegetables, cold and soggy, must have been sitting out for hours. As someone else said, the salad is lettuce with a tomato slice and one pitted olive. Then, at 8:07, the staff shook out the rug right next to us and started putting the chairs up on all the tables. Talk about not feeling welcome. My boyfriend also got sick about 30 minutes later. Unfortunately we won't be back, which is too bad because it's hard to find decent liver and onions.
