The food here is great. If I was rating on the food alone it would be five stars.
The service, not so great. The hostess stand was really disorganized. We had reservations, but when we walked in there was one girl at the desk refusing to make eye contact with us or the other couple that was waiting. There were two other girls behind her but they were busy talking about whether or not to post something on facebook (really? we can hear you). Finally the first girl looks up and says she'll be right with us. Back to staring at her computer screen. More waiting.
Once we were at the table, the server was nice, he just took a very long time to do everything. It was about 15 minutes before anyone came to our table to greet us (which at the price point of Fleming's is ridiculous) and even then it wasn't our server, it was someone else who just dropped off water glasses and said that our server would be there shortly. That was about the pace of everything else. My date and I can usually pass the time very easily but there were points where it was getting so awkward waiting for the server to show up when we could see him aimlessly wandering throughout the restaurant (yes, aimlessly, not actually doing something, I used to work in the industry, I can tell the difference between someone who is legitimately slammed and someone who is just dazed and confused).
Again, two stars because the food was SO good. Not only for dinner that night but there was so much that I had a fabulous lunch the next day as well. But really for the whole experience go to Maestros or Capital Grille.
