  • I came here to meet up with an old friend recently and I noticed the back door was wide open. It appeared as though there may have been construction going on so I wasn't sure if I should enter through the back door. A girl in a DE shirt came walking out. I asked her if I was able to access the facility through the back or if I should walk around to the front? She didn't say a word. She simply held her arm out as if to say, 'I guess you can enter here...' On the flip side, the bartender was incredibly warm, welcoming and provided good service. Given my past experiences with this business, I would agree with the 1-3 star reviews, with regards to the level of customer service. During each visit there seemed to be very little attention to the customer (not just me but with other customers too) and in some instances there was a hint of negative attitude towards patrons for no apparent reason. Service is everything. Hire the right people and you'll thrive! Hire the wrong people and you may sink...or in this case, you'll manage to stay afloat by default of your location and being within close proximity of businesses that pull customers for you...i.e. MAC and NILE THEATRE. If you are in DT Mesa waiting to see a show at one of the venues close by, then stop in for a drink. If you are looking for a great brewery with incredible food and solid brews, there are many other breweries to choose from that will give you the experience you deserve. Will I be back? Probably not. In all honesty, The Cellar at Sun Devil Liquor has better service, better beer, a much nicer atmosphere and is right down the street. FOOD FOR THOUGHT: It's interesting that a liquor store is a far better option over a local brewery.
