If I could put zero stars I would! Prior to Mark Taylor buying out the previous management (Laramar) company my family and I had lived there for over 8 years and had even upgraded from a 2 bedroom to 3 bedroom apartment in all the years living there. We never had issues with management, maintenance or the landscaping. HOWEVER, as soon as we found out Mark Taylor was buying them out we were ready to leave due to a prior experience we had with them over 10 years ago at another one of their "luxury" apartment complexes.
Within the first few weeks, the management office smelled and amenities were cut down, maintenance wouldn't come to address an issue for weeks (if at all) and thankfully our lease was up soon (we only had like 8 months left to our lease). Once we moved out they sent an email with a bill of over $900! Yes, we had accent walls however, prior to moving out we went to the office for the color to paint them back and we painted them back before we left the apartment after asking if we painted them back that it wouldn't be charged to us later. They also charged us for things that we put in orders for that, like I mentioned previously, never got addressed, plus general wear and tear of an apartment that has been lived in for 3 years.
Mark Taylor is a horrible management company not to mention they over price properties! As far as the area, yes it is in a bad area but if you use common sense there should be no problems.
