  • You get what you pay for I guess. Cosmetically from the outside it looks nice. Since I have lived here I have on two occasions been woken in the middle of the night by police dogs barking and officers shining lights on a residences door trying to talk them out. Not long ago there was a full on SWAT team and fire truck as well as what looked like half the Mesa police department outside an apartment. They exploded some sort of concussion device that literally shook my building at 2:00 am. It was like living in an episode of "Cops". I bet most people will never experience an officer with a bullhorn and a German Shepard police dog barking in the middle of the night even once in their life. I have now had the pleasant opportunity to experience this twice. I won't mention the number of times a police helicopter has hovered overhead shining a spotlight into the complex. The office staff is pretty much useless and not very empathetic. Jeremy stands out as an example of poor customer service. I am not used to getting a run around to my questions. They actually insult your intelligence. It's like asking a politician a question. Garbage is constantly piled up around dumpsters even though there is plenty of room in them. People are too lazy to pick up the lid if it is down. People storing half their belongings on their patios. That certainly looks nice when I have company stop by. Rent constantly increasing every time you sign a new lease. I understand rental wholesale pricing changes but please it shouldn't increase every time. The stock market and other real estate is fluid and goes up and down all the time. Sometimes it's worth more sometimes it's worth less. Funny how their formula for rental prices always increases. I understand they won't lower the pricing but how about for once a stable non increase? I have been a business owner for over 10 years and know a thing or two on how things should operate. Honestly if I treated the professionals I deal with on a daily basis for a living like they treat you here I would have been out of business long ago. Unfortunately a divorce landed me here. For the price increase on my current lease I should have went to Ahwatukee or South Scottsdale. Not much around that is convenient. If you like to eat at a decent restaurant and shop at a decent grocery store etc. then this is not the place to be. I guess my standards are different on what I expect as a renter and customer paying someone's wages. These are not just an opinion of an individual these are facts that can be easily documented and seen on a daily basis. Of course I will get a canned response from the staff regarding this review since every rebuttal and comment from them sounds like a repetitive sound bite but be warned you can do much better for your hard earned money. Look around. Update: Of course the office responded back to my review making it seem like they are working to make the grounds safe. I might add that 2 days ago there were at least 6 police cars at another sort of domestic disturbance call. Please!! this place is sketchy. I am almost 50 years old and have lived and traveled many places. I have never seen a place that needed this sort of police activity to keep it safe. This was on a otherwise quiet Sunday afternoon. Safe environments don't need this sort of protection. As far as rent increasing there are a minimum of 4 empty units by me. This is a big complex. If there are that many vacancies within my line of view I am betting there are a lot in the total complex. I wouldn't believe when the complex say they are full. I have lived here long enough to see the turnover. It's a lot just by me. Don't play the rent is determined on supply and demand. It seems to me that rent increases to make up for the vacant apartments. I will be moving. This is definitely not a good medium to long term solution.
