I came, I shot, I left...disappointed.
My normal haunt is American Shooter, but I'd been wanting to check out the new facilities...what better opportunity to do it than after getting a gift card and free range time from a friend for my birthday.
I scoped it out and checked out retail before my friends arrived. Employees were helpful and friendly, and I ended up purchasing new eye pro and an extra mag. All good so far.
My party arrived and the four of us set off to get in some lanes. We took three. The had run out of standard (B-27) targets...at a gun range.
The lanes are split up into four different rooms with four lanes each, with one entire room being reserved for "VIP". There is absolutely no sound dampening in the lanes. The walls are blocks as expected, but the dividers and benches are just diamond plate. The roof seems to be also cement. Very, very, very loud and echoey.
The dividers are too short. My friends and I all took hot brass to the head from the next lane over.
We were put in the same room as a rifle shooter. At that point we left. It was entirely concentration breaking and painfully loud. Can't really get much improvement done with that immediately next to me...or in the same 15' wide range.
we won't be coming back to shoot.
