Fate was okay. Nothing to write home about. The food was flavor-less. We had their
- steamed spinach buns: pretty good really. dipping sauce was a little weak - too much salt.
- fried tofu wedges: okay. could have been seasoned better before fried. garnish was weak.
- house dynamite: had this with chicken. the chicken was pre-cooked and tasted old. the sweet and sour sauce was okay - not distinct. I think the dish could have been better with more ginger or something.
- hong-kong flat noodles: sauce was weak. could have had more garlic.
overall, the bar area is kinda cool next door to fate. but, the restaurant needs some work. starting with the hostess. the hostess stand is buried in the back of the place and she acts like you should know who she is. She was rude. Didn't greet us - It's was more like:
-"What?"
- "Um, Hi, can we put our name down?" (this is a restaurant, right?)
- "Oh, yeah, if you want. It's going to be like an hour."
- "Okay, great. We'll go next door."
