  • There are two key factors in tattooing: the customer service and the art. Canvas excels at both which was important for a first tattoo experience. I corresponded with Sarah, who promptly and professionally answered all my questions and gave me a feeling of confidence that I had made a good choice. The shop is clean, comfortable and welcoming, with music and snacks. Conan is a remarkable artist who took my rough idea and transformed it into a unique design that captured both the image I wanted and my emotional connection to the image. He is in high demand and for good reason. He stayed late one evening to fit my schedule, worked on the final design until I was happy and he put me at ease with the process. He has an amazing ability to focus on the work and still carry on a witty conversation when I wanted to talk. He's also sensitive to those times when I was just dealing with the pain and needed some quiet. He is worth everything he charges. I'm still healing but from what I've seen so far I am wearing a masterpiece.
