Life at studio 710 has its very few perks and a lot of downfalls. Here is a list of both below.
Pros
incredibly convenient place to live if you are a student at ASU. It's is a mile to 202 or 143 giving you easy access to all parts of the valley and ASU campus.
No problems with parking or finding a spot.
Maintenance is courteous and quick to respond.
Cons
Customer service from the front office staff is abysmal. They are not polite and do not answer the phones. If you go in to put money on you laundry card they don't even acknowledge you.
Roaches come up from the sinks and bathtubs. I have had to kill 3-4 in the past 4 months.
Laundry is expensive at $2.40 a load (to wash and dry). Front office only open from 10-6 and is only place you can reload to your laundry card. Machine only takes 5$ bills.
Management gives 48 hours notice for entry 2x a month.
On one of these occasions they gave notice that they were going to come in and spray certain areas for pests. They never specified what kind of pest they were spraying for or what time from they would be by. You had to be vacant 4 hours after they sprayed. To prep for spraying, certain areas (all kitchen cabinets and bathroom areas under sink) had to be cleared. If you chose not to clear the areas they would have fined me 100 dollars.
The water temperature during showers at peak hours 6-10 am and 6-11pm fluctuates. It will go from burning hot to ice cold 4 to 5x during a 10 minutes shower.
Transients from other nearby apartment complexes often wander over to using our dumpsters.
Landscape maintenance is constantly differed leaving the grass tall and the sprinklers spraying your parked cars leaving water spots.
Sprinklers go off 5x times a day. Leaving concrete walkways soaked and slippery.
Windows are single pane and insulation seems non existent. If you turn of the ac at all during the summer you will immediately have to turn it back on.
