  • ***DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY or work with MICHAEL LUCHESSI *** This is the absolute WORST home financing experience ever! Michael Luchessi is a piece of work. He's that real cool guy with that "everything will go smoothly" attitude but once you start working with him, you are just a commission check. If your sales consultant is with American West and her name is CJ Pachinger- she will refer you to Michael. They both lie to get a hefty check at closing. At first when my husband and I met Michael, he seemed legit. My husband had to get his credit up to a 640 in order for us to qualify for a Veteran loan. So, Michael referred my husband to a guy named Scott. Scott was great! But, Michael Luchessi told me and my husband to get as many upgrades that we wanted now because the VA would give us back all our money. My husband and I thought, nah we better not because we didn't want to pay a huge mortgage. Michael and Scott ran our credit a total of 6 freaking times. What the hell for? We did not spend and we did everything as asked and all they had to run was the first initial to qualify and one more right before locking the loan rate. Then Michael calls me and starts yelling at me that I did not send them what they needed for them to process the speed for the loan. I yelled right back at him and told him that I did and CC'd him on the loan emails and to all his team. Mind you, I just had emergency gallbladder surgery so I let Michael have it! Then my husband found out from Michael that it was his emails that he wasn't receiving but yet we were the customers and we were treated like crap from him. Then Michael calls my husband and tells my husband "what is your wife's problem" and that he needs to calm me down. Three weeks before close - Michael calls us and tells us our house did not meet the VA loan appraisal and that we needed to come down on our options by $22,000 or that we needed to put $22,000 more down. We were livid! I called Clark County Credit Union and spoke to a VA Loan officer and was informed that what All Western Mortgage did to us by running our credit that many times and their VA loan process was not followed actually hurt us and our credit to be able to obtain a loan from another mortgage company or bank. CJ Pachinger at American West acted like she was not aware of any of this and that she hasn't spoke to a Michael. Michael told us we needed to speak to American West to see if they would drop the price of the house so we could get into our home. According to our American West contract we were locked in by contract and we would lose $10,000 of our Earnest money. We finally called Progressive home and shaved off $12,000 of upgrades electrical/security package just in time before they installed it all in. Because of that we were good to get into our home. Michael gave us the absolute worse service and created havoc on our credit reports. Someone like him has managed to get away with treating people and their credit like crap! He and CJ are in cahoots together- so don't trust them. CJ also lied to us about how big our backyard would be so we jumped lots twice after discovering for ourselves that what she was telling us wasn't true during the process. Many of our American West neighbors have informed us they either had a bad experience with Michael Lucchesi or with CJ Pachinger. Don't trust either of them.
