I love this bar. Maybe it's the chubby old Italian man who sings magnificent Italian opera songs on Karaoke Fridays, or the creepy guys I used to have crushes on in high school crowding around the pool tables - i love it all!
I came here with a bunch of friends a couple weekends ago on a Friday and it was jam packed. Music was SOOOO loud but we were a little close to the stage so that's understandable. I was starving so I had the Canadian angus burger with cheese and a poutine and fried calamari. I loved the calamari even though they maybe tasted a little bit like fried eggs? They were very fresh though and the sauce was yumsicles!!! The burger was good too EXCEPT for the bun...it was too big and too rubbery, i didn't like it at all so I had to pick off the rubber pieces lol.
I like that the bar has a bunch of levels, stage being the lowest, then a little balcony-like setting close to the stage, then down again where the bar is and then UP AGAIN (!) to different booths and tables. The patio is HUGE and amazing in the summer, lots of seats and you can smoke, if you want to :) no pressure.
I didn't get beer but I do know they have Coors and Rickard's white on tap since my friends got that. If you're not looking to get all decked out and dressy on a Friday night, come here!
