| - Wow was I disappointed in my experience with Dr. Yee. My appointment was at 7:30a and I arrived prior to my appointment time as requested. I was taken back to an exam room promptly at 7:30 and that was the last of anything timely. At 8:10a, Dr Yee's PA came in to see me and said that Dr "still isn't here", so she was going to start my exam. I'm totally okay with that, but lost just a bit of faith when I she said the doc wasn't even on premise. She couldn't read my MRIs that I brought, and I understand that as well. I explained my medical history and treatment options I had explored. When the doctor finally arrived he did not look at my MRIs, he did not do any muscle testing, he did not touch or look at me in any diagnostic way. He commented that he did a similar surgery for my General Practitioner and that he's done "thousands of these surgeries" and Joy would get me scheduled. And out he went. He was in the room for less than 2 minutes. It took another 15 minutes for his scheduler to come see me. I had several questions, but Dr Yee was clearly too busy to answer, so I started asking his scheduling nurse. When she couldn't answer my questions, she called Dr Yee back into the room. Apparently he thought my questions were unimportant, since his comment (rather than answering my questions) was, "I don't have time for this. If you want to find another surgeon then just go." HE may do thousands of these surgeries every year, but I DO NOT. I want to understand what is going on with my body and what a reasonable expectation of my surgery, follow-up and final outcome could potentially be. So I at least took his advice and found another surgeon who didn't treat me like a number.
