| - I have come here a number of times, sometimes taking my food to go, sometimes dining in, and every experience here has been so good.
Let me tell you about their vegetarian mix plate. You might look at it and think, "I could do without the obligatory salad and the plain white rice".... Well you would be wrong.
You must start with the salad, not to get it over with, but just because it's the perfect place to start... crisp romaine, a perfect mix of veggies and red cabbage, and this dressing that is herbaceous and balanced and perfectly seasoned.
Then you have to have a dolma. It melts in your mouth, the perfect bite of comfort after your salad. Don't eat them all at once though, you will want to bring this back into the rotation later.
Then you have the main event, the falafel. It has that perfect, crispy/crackle-y exterior that makes a great falafel great. Now is when you really have to pay attention though, because you have pita, hummus, and falafel that need to be combined, but you have to make sure you don't run out of one of these things before the other. Put your cell phone away. Stay focused and portion out your falafel and pita like a real boy Pinocchio.
Now onto the rice. Any other restaurant would throw some rice and water together in a rice cooker and call it a day. But no, this stuff is seasoned and unassuming and delicious.
It's so simple and so satisfying. Every component is flawless. And I'm stuffed.
Also. Get the kunefe.
Also. They are super nice here and care about the quality of their food.
