  • The large mounted buffalo head outside The Buffalo Collection at Scenic Mesa caught my eye and drew me in to this store. Wow. Every piece of furniture is made from buffalo. The man working in the store explained to us that a few years ago when buffalo meat became so popular, they found that the hides and skins were going to landfills and only the meat was used. Arrangements were made and now amazingly gorgeous handcrafted work is available to you and me. Exquisite soft leather formed in to luscious deep couches and chairs just begging to be sat in fill this entire store. Some of the chairs and ottomans are covered in soft, cushiony sheared buffalo fur. There are bed throws and rugs as well and believe me, your feet just sink right in to these rugs. There was a very unusual rug in the store that was made from strips of soft buffalo leather and it was unique and interesting. I couldn't help but keep running my hands over it. The store smells of buttery, well worked leather and puts you in to a bit of a sensory experience as you sit down on one of their deep, soft chairs. There's plenty of unusual, wood pieces in the store as well like lamps, tables and art pieces. When I hit the lottery I'm coming back here and outfitting my entire house.
