  • Hi Kathy! I just wanted to address few points: - no nail dryers - in my 5-6 years of getting mani/pedi done at salons and spas, I have never experienced a salon without them, it being actual small fans or machines with hot/cold air vents. Hence my initial surprise - with pedicure it is not that crucial as you can still slip your sandals on and walk carefully, but with 3 coats of polish after manicure, you literally have to allocate extra 20 minutes to just getting your nails dry. As a customer, I don't find it convenient - and I understand that you don't rush your clients, but that wasn't my point.. - top coat on my toes - I noticed that after I left the salon but I think it would be nice if the girls could check for those things before the customer leaves. Perhaps this is more of a personal preference, and not really a major complaint - I understand your points regarding acetone-free nail polish remover - however the Lux Spa website (perhaps that only applies to Yorkville location?) that you work with artificial nails & lists prices for those. You also provide Shellac services - it didn't really make sense to me why you wouldn't carry the acetone product? - as I have explained on the phone, I get a full manicure done on my artificial nails at least every month - this includes soaking, cuticles cut & cleaning. I actually really wanted my cuticles taken care of, as well as other lose skin around my fingers, as I normally do when i go for manicures. I'm not used to having cuticles only pushed away and not cut. I thoroughly enjoy having my fingers pre-soaked & fingernails/cuticles cut during a mani. If there was a danger of the product interfering with the nails than we could have avoided using the product. At least I think a customer should have an option of cut vs. non-cut manicure, but that's just my personal opinion.. As I mentioned in my earlier review, it is probably the misunderstanding on my side, perhaps I should have addressed all my questions to Teambuy before purchasing the deal.
