| - great flan. I'd come back in just for flan, and maybe the guac.
come for the flandney brought me chips and salsa and bean dip right away, but I didn't see anyone after her gain for over 10 minutes, which I thought was odd, since the restaurant was not busy at all. I ordered the guac app, which took approximately 15 minutes to come out, and the bacon wrapped shrimp, which were another 5 minutes behind the guac. the red salsa was bland, and looked a bit more burnt than I like. the bean dip was good, but nothing special. the chips, unimpressive.my beans and rice... the rice tasted.like store bought, the beans were brought out on a separate plate and we're cold. the worst part though, was that even with as long as the shrimp took, they were painfully undercooked. the manager offered me a free dessert for the undercooked food, so I tried the flan, which admittedly was pretty good.
service 2/5 (slow though cheerful)
food flavor 1/5 (guac was ok, bean dip ok)
food temp 0/5 (cold food, undercooked food)
value 1/5 I could say 0, but had the food been good, the value would have been decent.
I'm a guest of the hotel for 2 weeks, and I've stopped and looked at the menu several times but passed it by, worried the food wouldn't satisfy me. my meal ended up being comped, which was nice, but I think I'd still stay away from here next time. lovely restaurant, great vibe, but in the end, the food just wasn't good.
