Give me a Costco right here instead lol.
The store is a huge guilt trip eye sore and a drain on my beautiful neighbohood.
I'm too scared to eat the groceries here lol I remember all the low quality clothing here that would fall apart easily, and I can imagine there must be a catch to the rest.
It actually scares me when I see certain items here that are even cheaper than the dollar store o,O like which corners did they have to cut in order to get their prices that low and still make a profit...
It bothers me to know about how this company scams their employees by never giving them full -time hours so they can skip giving them health benefits that they don't offer to part-time workers. Purposely skimming right under the 40 hours/week limit is devious, I feel so bad for thr workers here, I don't have the heart to make it part of my regular shopping trip.
The employees look like a diseased filled illegal puppy mill!
Like they're very kind, polite, and very nice, but I could feel that they are suffering and not getting the help they need, which is really sad and not expected for a location like this.
It would be ok for a person to give off that vibe when they first start,
but a job should IMPROVE their situation over time, not suck the life out of them!
When I see the employees at Costco, yeah sure, I can tell that some of them come from a "non-spoiled" background, but at least they give the impression that they have life in them and are building a life, like they have reason to be proud to work there. Anyone I've met that worked there, always had their life improved and moved onto better things afterwards, but WalMart, even this branch here... it's just sad. We can smell the fakeness and misery, no matter how much they doll up the place. It's very creepy. There will be no existing healthy employee here as long as this company continues to skirt the laws with their clever loophole tricks, and as a shopper I feel dead in here. Even before I knew about such details, there was always that dead zombie vibe here, to which only makes sense when I learn about what's going on. Get the fk out of my city.
If Costco can polish up a crack-head over a little time, I would expect WalMart to be able to accomplish way more with the money we give them, because they make more profits. I don't appreciate paying someone to abuse someone else... while fully clothed, and just sit on their @ss with the money, instead of being productive and actually earning it.
I'd be really happy to replace this WalMart with an indoor mall here, since clearly there's enough room for it due to the size. It is not very appealing to have to go outside into the cold, in and out into each store like the rest of the area here, but when there's an indoor group of places, suddenly the outdoor ones closeby seem more convenient actually and more fun to explore even. I'm willing to bet that having an indoor mall here would probably even resolve the lack of business going on down the highway at the next exit too.
