Their knowledge of the market, the process and the pitfalls to avoid was invaluable in our search to buy and our preparation to sell.
Responsive. All the expertise in the world does nothing for you if you find "the deal" hot on the market and you can't "jump" on it. We thought we had "the deal" more than once and Doug or Steven would get us in right away only for us to find something that wasn't what we were expecting. However, our next request, and next, and next, often with no notice, was met with a "We'll get you in there". We ultimately found "the real deal" and Steven got us the showing immediately and we got a solid offer in ahead of the rest and got the house.
Resources. Inspections, minor repairs and all the other little details that need to get done quickly to finalize the deal before close were crucial. They had quality connections with experts that helped us get it all done right and on time. Steven kept the ball rolling and kept us in the loop to get it wrapped on a tight schedule.
Now that our house was purchased, my fiancee needed to sell her house. Doug and Bill came in, helped us with suggestions for the prep, the current market values and the other million details that might get overlooked. Listed on Thursday, 3 offers by Saturday morning and a final acceptance by Sunday lunch.
When the buyer inspection came back with a couple of items, Steven arranged quality personnel to come in and make the corrections at reasonable costs.
The Hill Group office then stepped in and ran her closing (it was 3 week close and not 30 days) and navigated some last minute bumps that came up with the escrow to get the close done on time.
We hope to never have to use them again. (Forever house) But if we ever need to buy or sell in the valley, we will definitely use The Hill Group.
