  • We have been going to see Dr. Bloom at Willowdale Animal Hospital for about two years now and, honestly, there aren't enough good words we could say about them! When we call to book appointments they are always able to get us in within a week or so and everyone who works at the front desk is always so friendly and personable. Dr. Bloom is by far the most passionate veterinarian I have ever come across. I am very protective of my 'fur babies' and usually am put off by how clinical and cold most vets can be but Dr. Bloom is a stark contrast to most vets. He is so warm and loving towards both of our pets and he treats them as if they were his own. Both our pets (a yorkie and a cat) absolutely love Dr. Bloom as well as everyone else who works at Willowdale Animal Hospital. Dr. Bloom also makes sure to explain everything (medical terms, etc.) in a way that the average person can understand - which helps a great deal! Our cat, Zoe, has seizures which tend to be induced in stressful situations. As a result, she usually doesn't like to leave the house. She also gets very freaked out at the vet and it can be difficult to keep her still long enough for the vet to do a full check up. Our experiences at Willowdale Animal Hospital have been amazing. When we arrived for one of Zoe's appointments, we explained that her seizures can be triggered when she is stressed out (perhaps when she sees other large dogs in the waiting room), so one of the ladies that works at the front desk promptly put us into a room so Zoe could explore and get to know her surroundings without being scared or stressed by other large and unknown animals. When Dr. Bloom got to the room Zoe was already feeling alot more comfortable but we still worried how she would do when he was trying to do a check up. He then took out a nifty tool (a little clip that goes onto the skin on her neck) and it instantly calmed her down. It was like she was a different cat! She immediately laid down (long enough for Dr. Bloom not only to do a checkup and blood work but also for them to trim her nails - which is always a struggle!!). Needless to say, Willowdale Animal Hospital is a caring environment for your pets. I would wholeheartedly recommend this facility for anyone in need of a vet!
