  • I love this movie theatre and think that Calgary needs more second-run theatres. $3 matinees and $5 general admission makes things very affordable, their concessions are a fair bit cheaper than the standard multiplexes, and (my favorite part) they'll screen foreign films and locally produced films here too. They always have a Bollywood film or two playing, I've seen Filipino movies screened here, and even some low-budget locally produced films (like Universal Ninjas) have played here too. Moviedome definitely fills a niche here in Calgary. I wish they carried more art-house/independent films though, but can't complain too much about the selection. Note that the venue is cash-only, however, there is an ATM on premises.
