  • just as i thought about the steelyard commons adventure, i shall say this.. What the... but what i should be saying "where the..." where the heck did these come from?? i swear yesterday these weren't here. steelyard commons didn't get all the stars yet from me because chic-fil-a and yes, the big mart of walls that most of us don't admit we shop at but we do don't exist there yet. they are still just glimmers in mom and dad's eyes. if by mom and dad i mean city planners, architects, and investors, ok. well, marts of walls is actually a fetus now, but i digress. give it a few months and it will be the mecca of all that is good for those of us living in the city vicinity. it's already doing pretty darn good, though i just don't understand why i never see that many people there. weird? that's the part that creeps me out. huge ass stores with no one in them, no one in the parking lots, and just space everywhere. it's kinda creepy. like a comet exploded and hit the earth and i didn't know it. instead i'm just shopping like a little happy girl in target buying god knows what because if it's in target, i must need it. where steelyard will be in about a year is city view. yes, it a bit farther away from cleveland, but still easily accessible, city view offers a heck of a lot. mart of walls. chipotle qdoba bed bath and beyond dicks sporting goods giant eagle petsmart a crap load of random stores including cell phone stores, hair places, you know, random stuff. there's a lot of stuff here. and it's good stuff. to city view i say "thank you, i didn't know i needed that much random shit from bed, bath, and beyond" and to steelyard commons i say "why are you so empty? stop it. you're creeping me out. and if i should be in a fall out shelter, someone please tell me." both, i think are pretty good places. one's just the older sister to the fetus, one's just being born. ah, feti. i just made that up. feti. use it at least once today. recycling areas that needed it? ok. good job, clevo. as long as you're not taking out landscape that animals need and instead recycling old developed areas that needed a revamp, i say much kudos. so to all of this development that apparently is happenning right below my nose and i don't even know it until one day it's there, kudos to you. EDIT: my friend tells me they built this over a toxic waste dump. is this true????? wow. if it is. holy crap on toast. is that why my feet are glowing??
