| - Let me preface this by saying, I went with my mother and her foot massage was wonderful. She thoroughly enjoyed it, enjoyed the facility and enjoyed the employee who massaged her feet.
My experience however was not the same. The young man that did my massage(I opted for 30 minute foot, and 30 minute body.) Provided me with a completely different experience. He was on his phone half the time and used one hand during my foot massage. He barely rubbed my feet, but instead focused on lotioning my toes( weirdest sensation ever). This was okay, I can handle it.
During the body massage you go into a small room and undress. Lay face down. I really needed someone to focus on my upper back and neck, as they have been bothering me lately. The same gentleman who did my feet came in, and proceeded to "massage" me. I use this word very carefully, because it felt more like an all out physical assault on my body. I was in the wrong for being timid and not asking him to stop, but I kept thinking it would get better. It didn't. At one point I could barely breathe with his elbows digging into me. I just kept praying for this madness to end.
I have been to many day spas, resorts, etc w/ a licensed massage therapist. This experience was nothing like that. I am pretty sure they are not schooled therapist and in turn have the potential to really hurt somebody. I went to bed unable to lay on my back last night, and this morning I have swollen back muscles and marks on my neck.
I think if you want a foot massage this is the way to go, it's a very reasonable cost. I do however think if you are looking for a full body or even a special area, this is not the place. I very much caution customers to be careful.
