De Mello is in my hood and I've been meaning to try it out for quite sometime.now
I came here with super high expectations as I've had read that they have the best coffee in town.
The place is pretty tiny and it has a very hipster feel to it. There is a common seating area by the window and more small tables at the back of the shop.
They have super fancy glass brewing equipment and they roast their beans in house.
We tried their filter coffee $5 which takes about 5 mins to make and their slow drip cold coffee $3.5 which drips overnight and is never heated so its supposed to have a subtle sweetness to it.
I was not impressed with any of the 2 coffees and do they beat my $2 starbucks coffee? Unfortunately they don't.
The food however was reasonably priced and delicious. I had a sweet potato and leak quiche and my companion a thin crust personal pizza. both came with a side of greens and served on a wooden board. Presentation was excellent.!
The coffee was just meh.. not in a rush to go back
