| - This story is long and honestly I hardly complain when I get bad service--I just don't go back but this girl was so rude, I want everyone to know what happened. I went in with my friend for a birthday weekend pedicure. We came in and were greeted by Janet who offered us wine and lowered the shades since the sun was blasting on one of the seats. When it was time, we went back and picked out our polish. My friend got Grace (who was amazing, very sweet and personable). I got the other girl (found out later her name was Annie) who seemed like she didn't want to be there and that she hated her job. Grace introduced herself to my friend and asked her name and how she was. Mine did not introduce herself or anything didn't even say hello. I ignored it and just tried to have a good time. I'd been looking forward to this for awhile and I hadn't seen my friend in months. She started massaging my feet (not legs or calves or anything past the ankle), I told Annie that it felt nice and that I was looking forward to this part since it was my birthday (btw, she didn't even say happy birthday, no one did and Janet admitted that it was listed in the computer). The pedicure moved forward and I noticed that mine was moving about 3x as fast as my friend's service. Mine was already putting on my fake sandals when my friend's had just started the massage. The massage, which by the way extended all the way up her calves and was WAY longer. I commented (not rudely) to Annie that was the quickest massage I'd ever had--and she just looked at me. I told her that I'd had longer ones at the $20 places. She again gave me a look at asked if I wanted her to rub more. Now I'm getting more and more pissed because my friend is continuing to get massaged and mine is almost done painting my first foot. So, then I kind of lost it. I got upset and pointed out that although we got the same service that mine is almost done and my friend is still enjoying her massage. This went on and on--Annie gave me attitude and told me that if I wanted a massage I should have ordered one, that Grace probably doesn't have other clients (the place was deserted)to help after and that's why hers is taking longer, that since I've been here before I should have asked for someone specific, and that she actually did some reflexology on me and that I probably don't even know what reflexology is!!! I seriously wanted to punch this woman in the face. I told her to watch her attitude that she was giving me and then I explained to her exactly what reflexology was. She said that she wasn't giving me attitude and I told her that she was giving me attitude all in her face--and I know because I give the same faces. I told her to stop that I didn't want her touching me and I wanted to speak to the manager. I said that I didn't even know her name since she didn't introduce herself. She said, loudly," Annie, my name is ANNIE". She told me the manager wasn't there and I said that's fine but I won't be paying for her service. She left and went up front. I sat there with my friend and Grace for awhile and then put my flops on and went to the front. Janet started giving me attitude as well so I gave it right back. Janet basically said that I was getting what I paid for and that Grace should be going faster. Eventually she said that both mine and my friend's would be comped. She then offered to finish painting my toes and I agreed. She told me Annie was a fill-in and doesn't normally work there. So finally, at the end, my friend was asking about paying so Grace could get her money and I turned around and saw Janet making a face behind us. I was going to going back there to use Grace for pedicures but not now. Obviously they would be talking about me and this incident but at least wait until we leave. My friend paid for hers (after I was told that we'd both be comped) and we left. My friend told me on the way home that Grace noticed how fast Annie was working and looked at the clock. Grace realized that she was still good on time and kept on working as she normally does. Annie is horrible--she obviously hates her profession. If you run into an Annie at any cosmetology/spa type place ask her if she ever filled in at Amnesia and if she does ask for another person!!
