  • I always thought Dick and Jane's was either a second hand store or a children's store so I was pleasantly surprised to find an urban lifestyles store. Dick and Jane are Blame Betty's younger brother and sister; and carries, clothing, books and home accessories. The sales guy there is great, he knows all about the products and was very keen to present some highlights. First of all there is some great emo type clothing gear, and then he raved about being the largest store in Canada to feature independent books. Books that you would not be able to find in any bookstores here because they are pretty obscure. My personal favourite are the toy like limography cameras, these are designed to look like the cameras mom and dad used to use, and guess what they even use the same 120 film. D & J's also carries limo cameras that use 35 mm and they have a very cool one with 4 lenses that show four photos in 2 second intervals in the same shot. The photos are very similar to ones we had when we are kids, grainy, as if someone put pantyhose over the lens. Well you get what I mean. These run around $70 bucks and they even sell film if you need it. This is a great store; there have really quirky and functional gifts here. Check it out!
